Nigerian DJ Killed By Stray Bullet At Burial Burial Ceremony In Anambra

The death of a 34 years old Nigerian DJ named Lotachukwu Nwagboso, has been reported after he was hired to perform at a burial ceremony in Alaife Umuaku Uli, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and killed by a stray bullet from the gun of one of the vigilante operatives.

According to report, the DJ and father of four from Ndikpo Umuaku Uli, was hired to play music at the burial ceremony of one Evangelist Vitalis Ihemeje where he was allegedly shot dead by one Ibeanozie, who is presently at large.

It was gathered that the vigilante was trying to start his motorcycle after putting the gun on it when it went off and killed the DJ on the spot, according to eyewitness.

The incident, reportedly led pandemonium at the burial, while the youths of Ndikpo also went on rampage, destroying property and pulling down houses belonging to the suspect, as well as those of the family that organized the ceremony of their father.

The elder brother of the suspect, Ifeanyi Ibeanozie, who insisted that it was not a deliberate act, while speaking on the unfortunate incident said they were friends to the bereaved family, hence their commitment to ensure the success of the burial.

And confirming the incident, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Princess Nkiruka Nwode, called on the community leaders to be mindful of the kind of people they appoint as members of the vigilante, while imploring the people to give the Police information that will help in apprehending the suspect.
